Q: Where can I find my Redback login details?

Your log in details for the MyRedback app and the Redback Portal are the same details. You should have received an email with these details when you initially purchased your Redback System. Check your email and don’t forget to check your spam/junk folders. If you have lost your portal password, please go to the Redback Portal and click ‘forgot your password’, you will receive a password reset email.

Q: How do I get support for my Redback system?

We have a range of support documents under the ‘support tab’ in the Redback Portal. If you still need assistance, please contact your solar installer. Our customer service team work directly with install companies to solve issues with the Redback Smart Hybrid System. You can also raise a support case in the Redback Portal and one of our customer service team members will get in touch with you.

Q: How much battery storage do I need?

The amount of battery storage you need for you home will be influenced by your home energy needs, the number of solar panels you currently (or plan to) have installed and the amount of excess electricity they currently produce, the size of your inverter (if you already have one installed), and if you have plans to purchase an electric vehicle or large appliance (such as a pool pump) in the future. A certified Redback installer will discuss your options for home battery storage, and suggest what is the optimum size for your home.

Q: What size inverter do I need?

Redback's Smart Inverter comes in a range of sizes, from 5kW to 10kW. The size of inverter that you will need is dependent on number of solar panels you install (which in turn is influenced by your home energy needs, roof size, budget, etc). A certified Redback installer will be able to guide you to the best size inverter for your needs.

Q: Are home battery solutions safe?

Yes, the batteries used to store the energy produced by your home’s solar system are generally considered safe. Our Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries comply with all Australian safety standards and are considered the safest battery option on the market right now. Q: Is there a difference between your products with the old and new logos?

Our 2021 rebrand saw our new logo being adding to our product range - there were no other changes made to these products. Some stock with our previous logo may still be available and installed - rest assured there is no difference at all with these products.

Q: How do I know what my system is doing?

Redback's MYRedback App is a great way to check in on your system whether you're at home or on the go. You can monitor the amount of electricity your solar panels are producing, the amount being bought and sold to the grid, your household energy consumption and your battery status. Q: What does a Redback System cost?

As the manufacturer, we sell our systems through a network of trusted partners Australia- and New Zealand-wide. Pricing for these systems is dependent on several factors, and will vary from household to household. Our installation partners will be able to let you know what options will be the most appropriate for your situation and to provide an obligation-free quote taking this in to account.
