Redback Technologies Launches API Self-Service Feature for Streamlined Customer Access
Brisbane [29/11/2024] — Redback Technologies is excited to announce the launch of a new API self-service feature, allowing customers faster and easier access to their system data.
This enhancement simplifies the process for users to securely generate and manage API access credentials, enabling better integration with Redback’s advanced energy solutions.
With the new self-service feature, customers can set up their API access in less than a minute by following these simple steps:
- Open the Redback Portal.
- Navigate to the Support section and select API Access.
- Generate a new secret and assign it a user-friendly name for easy reference.
- Copy the secret key using the copy button next to the Client Id. Do this immediately and store it securely, as it cannot be accessed again.
- Note your Client ID displayed at the top of the page and store it securely alongside the secret key.
- Use the Client ID and secret key to authorise access in the API and run a quick query to confirm functionality.
The entire process takes just 30–40 seconds, offering a quick and seamless way for users to connect to Redback’s API and gain control over their energy data.
